Member Benefit Highlight: Promotional Events

The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce proudly plays a crucial role in fostering economic growth and supporting the local community. Among the many tools in their promotional arsenal, events like Taste Terre Haute and Haunted Haute, among others, have become powerful platforms to showcase members of the Chamber.

“Organizing promotional events takes a lot of work by both the Chamber staff and the business owners,” said Lindsey English, Membership and Programs Coordinator. “We view these annual celebrations as a crucial part of how we serve our members and make sure they get the word out about everything they have to offer.”

The Chamber leverages the power of its news partnerships as well as social media to create excitement and anticipation for these events by making sure the focus is on the businesses themselves. By collaborating with participating businesses and influencers the Chamber is able to make a meaningful impact on its members’ bottom line.

Taste Terre Haute has emerged as one of the city’s most anticipated events for food enthusiasts and business owners alike. Put on by the Chamber of Commerce, this event invites local restaurants, cafes, and food vendors to showcase signature dishes to eager attendees. Taste Terre Haute presents a unique opportunity for local eateries and bars to shine.

The Chamber collaborates with media outlets and local publications, ensuring extensive coverage of the events. This synergy amplifies the reach and visibility of participating small businesses, attracting both locals and visitors from neighboring areas.

As the calendar winds down Terre Haute welcomes another Chamber-organized extravaganza: Haunted Haute. This Halloween-themed event capitalizes

on the city’s rich history of ghostly tales and creates a spooky but entertaining ambiance. Local businesses embrace the haunted theme, decorating their establishments and offering eerie treats and promotions.

The Chamber’s premier event every year is the Annual Meeting. This year marks the 110th year for the gathering, which will be at the Terre Haute Convention Center.

“The awards we present during the Annual Meeting are a great way to recognize the businesses, organizations and individuals who make a positive difference for the community,” said Jessica Cox, Chief Operating Officer for the Chamber. “We love highlighting some of the partners we have who make sure Terre Haute continues its positive momentum.”

The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce’s commitment to promoting local small businesses through events like Taste Terre Haute, Annual Meeting and Haunted Haute remains paramount to ensuring the best environment for owning and operating a business in West Central Indiana.
