Member News: A Place Called Hope Inc. to Host Ribbon Cutting

We are excited to announce Lt. Governor of Indiana, Suzanne Crouch will do a Ribbon Cutting at the Grand Opening of A Place Called Hope Inc. Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch will be our special guest speaker, other special guest include Senator Eric Bassler of district 39, State Representative Bob Heaton of district 46 and Representative Larry Bucshon of district 8. The event will be held on August 15, 2020 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at 501 E 9th St. in Clay City, Indiana 47841.

Our mission is to help homeless female Veterans and women ages 18 and older who are struggling with life controlling problems. Female Veterans are the fastest growing population among homeless Vets, there are thousands. At A Place Called Hope Inc. we provide a faith-based curriculum that addresses their most urgent need of overcoming issues, transition to a healthy lifestyle, ultimately becoming productive members of our communities. We offer a long term one-year residential program on a voluntary basis at no cost to the individual. We accept referrals throughout the state of Indiana.

Our leadership has a combined eighty years of experience in working with people in long-term recovery. The executive director, Dr. Duane Chassie served as the executive director of a residential recovery facility in Florida for nearly thirty years. Dr. Chassie has received many distinguished awards for achieving a high success rate in helping individuals overcome their addictions and become productive members of society.
