Welcome to Pace Community Action Agency. For those who are not familiar, tell us what services you provide to the community. 

We operate in 5 counties including Knox, Daviess, Sullivan, Lawrence, and Vigo. We have been providing services for over 50 years in other counties.

Health Connection of Pace Community Action Agency, Inc. currently provides reproductive health care and contraception to anyone with special efforts to reach the uninsured, under-insured, high risk and low-income men, women, families, and teens. Adolescent services are confidential and do not require parental or guardian consent. Our services are confidential – provided on a sliding-fee scale according to income levels. Confidential, voluntary services include comprehensive family planning services to men and women of child-bearing age; breast and cervical screening; hormonal and non-hormonal birth control methods; emergency contraceptive services; adolescent abstinence/risk behaviors education; screening, diagnosing, and treatment for sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis; HIV testing and counseling; pregnancy testing and counseling; condom distribution; and education.

Acceptable and effective medically approved family planning methods, including male and female condoms, diaphragms, emergency contraception, hormonal injection, long acting reversible contraceptive methods, hormonal implants, natural family planning methods, oral contraceptives, spermicides, sponges, vaginal films, and vaginal ring are all provided on site. The contraceptive patch and sterilization are offered by referral. Additional services performed are physical assessments, laboratory testing under CLIA certification including glucose, hemoglobin, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), human papillomavirus (HPV) testing, pap testing, syphilis testing, trichomoniasis testing, urinalysis, and wet mounts; and HPV vaccinations are available on site.

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for providing outreach, health education, counseling, and referral services for the Health Connection program. The Marketing Specialist will provide various outreach regarding the availability of services which includes but not limited to: overseeing an outreach plan including social media posts, press releases, and community events; performing educational presentations; and planning activities to promote services.

Education sessions and topics are tailored for each group. Educational programs are presented to the community free of charge by appointment. Educational opportunities are available for organizations, schools, and other groups or individuals on topics including:

       Abstinence

       Birth control methods

       Breast & testicular self-exams

       Drugs including alcohol & tobacco

       Sexual assault and Prevention

       Sexually transmitted infections

       Smoking cessation
