Ollie’s Canine Campus Announces Adopt-A-Pet Day

Terre Haute, Ind. – Ollie’s Canine Campus is hoping to find forever homes for local pets during June’s Adopt-A-Pet Day.

The event will feature more than 25 adoptable dogs at the Terre Haute facility, located at 480 W Honey Creek Drive. The event is scheduled for June 20, 10am to 3pm.

In addition, the Clay County Humane Shelter will partner for the event to bring more “fur babies” who are ready for adoption.

Owner Tom Kuhl says Ollie’s, mission is to find “furever” loving homes for every dog brought into the facility.

Ollie’s Canine Campus, named after Kuhl’s own dog, specializes in doggy day care, boarding, grooming and training. He says the goal is to expand the business to a second location and begin accepting stray dogs. Already Kuhl and the team have opened their doors to stray dogs and been successful in re-homing each one.

“Our vetting process and rehome success rate is 100 percent,” Kuhl says. “I would say in the last year, we have found 30 ‘furever’ homes for the puppies we have taken in, both young and old.”

Kuhl notes Ollie’s Canine Campus is not a registered non-profit or 501c3 organization, so the majority of the funding to feed and home each stray has come out of pocket for himself and the business. Kuhl says the community has been generous, individual donations have helped offset some of the costs.  A donation bank account has been set up through Old National Bank with 100% of all funds go towards caring for these stray, found, and surrendered dogs.  Visit https://www.olliesk9campus.com  to learn more information. Kuhl also says he is working on a pending contract with the City of Terre Haute to further help with financial assistance of taking in stray dogs.

“We are looking forward to the June 20 Adopt-A-Pet Day, we have wonderful dogs here that only want a ‘furever’ home,” Kuhls says. “The community and our customers have been so supportive, I’m hoping it extends to this event.”
