Harsha Behavioral Center responds to COVID-19

Harsha Behavioral Center, Terre Haute’s acute psychiatric care hospital, has been proactively engaging in the fight to combat COVID-19 and protect patients.

Harsha remains open during the current environment and is taking precautions that follow the CDC’s guidelines. Screenings are held for every patient, visitor and staff, the hospital has utilized telehealth services for outpatient services and visitors are limited to offset any risk within the hospital.

“We are taking this very seriously. Prioritizing mental health in conjunction with our physical health, especially during this time, is of utmost importance,” states Roopam Harshawat, CEO of Harsha Behavioral Center. “We recognize the need to continue providing our services with the necessary precautions and protocols at the forefront and we will continue to provide services as we see this through.”

Harsha Center operates with the goal to provide protective and nurturing environments in which to provide patient services. The protocols the hospital has taken in response to COVID-19 ensure that the integrity of the hospital is withheld, and patients are safe, healthy and progressing.
