Frontier Communications welcomes each Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce new member.
In this fast paced world it’s sometimes hard to slow down, but a new Terre Haute business is giving its clients the chance for A Little R&R.
A Little R&R (he Rs stand for “Retail & Relaxation”) is owned by Davida Cartwright and Eric Wallace, who combined their two businesses to create the new location at 1027 Poplar Street.
“I have been doing massage for four years and business got to the point that I want to expand, but it was going to be too expensive to do on my own,” Davida explains. “Eric has run a second hand store for about six years now… so we just put the ideas together. My thought process on it was that he needed more visibility and I needed more space. I thought, what are women looking for? Women like to go shopping for retail therapy and they like to relax and massage seems to be one of the things they like to do… so we decided to put it together.”
Together the store mixes Eric’s retail and resale business with Davida’s already popular massage company, Wabash Valley Massage. Formally located in Meadow’s Shopping Center, Wabash Valley Message offers affordable prices and exceptional quality.
The retail side of things is still building steam; Eric says he continues to look for vendors to sell antiques, vintage items and other unique offerings.
And it’s not just retail and relaxation Eric and Davida are offing to their clients. On Saturday, February 27 A Little R&R will host a Wine & Canvas event.

Since opening their doors A Little R&R has had a steady increase in clients looking for everything from furniture to essential oils to children’s clothing.
“I think clients have been pretty receptive,” Davida explains. “I think when people are coming in for a massage sometimes they wonder if they are in the right place because they see the retail but in explaining the concept they are receptive and interested.”
