Wabash Valley Base Community Council launches website

The Wabash Valley Base Community Council (WVBCC) officially launched their new website this month. The WVBCC, which is still in the infancy stage as a new nonprofit, expects this launch to continue the momentum of progress toward becoming the primary resource for connecting the business community with local military.

“Our main objective right now is to build our business membership to better serve our local military,” states Shelley Klingerman, WVBCC board president. “We are thankful for our early partners that saw immediate value in joining our cause. If we can gain more area organizations as advocates and partners, we can establish connections that will directly impact our service members.”

This organization was responsible for bringing Taya Kyle, wife of “American Sniper,” Chris Kyle, to Terre Haute last year and hopes to continue to bring meaningful and unique fundraising opportunities and educational resources to the Wabash Valley.

“This website is a major step for us as a new organization,” states Klingerman. “It gives us an official online presence where we can communicate our mission, provide resources and accept donations.”

The WVBCC was established in 2017 to encourage relationships between businesses and current military, to educate the community of current events and to partner closely with the six military assets in the Wabash Valley. For more information, visit wabashvalleybcc.com.
