United Way to Host Community Conversations on Early Childhood Education

Terre Haute, IN – United Way of the Wabash Valley’s Success By 6 Impact Council invites parents and caregivers, childcare providers, and kindergarten teachers to participate in upcoming Community Conversations about their perspectives and experiences with early childhood education. The conversations will be held virtually from June 15 to 30, and will be facilitated by United Way staff. Each group will participate in its own conversation to encourage free discussion and allow for targeted conversations based on their unique experiences.

For nearly 15 years, United Way’s Success By 6 has been investing in initiatives that help children build the skills they need to be ready for kindergarten. In order to support programs that can most effectively
improve the quality of early childhood education, the council relies on feedback from the community. Through Community Conversations, the council hopes to learn more about the strengths, challenges, and current needs from people who have directly provided or benefitted from early childhood education. Community Conversations ensure that each person’s voice is heard by providing a safe environment to share hopes for our community and the perceived barriers to achieving them.
