Terre Haute Campground Announces New Ownership, New Name

Terre Haute’s longtime campground on the city’s eastside is pleased to announce a new name, along with new ownership. The former KOA is now known as “Terre Haute Campground”. Learn more below!

Q: Congratulations on the purchase and renaming of the Terre Haute Campground! Tell us a little about the site and what you have to offer!

A: We are a conveniently located campground and RV park less than three miles off of I-70. We are open year round and provide many activities for our campers. We have long, full hook up sites as well as cabins, a teepee, and a yurt. As for family friendly activities, we have plenty to do outside such as pedal karts, a swimming pool (open seasonally), a jump pad, a dog park, gem mining, and life-sized checkers. Our pride and joy of the campground are our two miniature donkeys – Stormy and Cookie.

Q: Fall is upon us with lots of opportunity to camp and travel, what’s one of the best things about the Terre Haute Campground that makes it so attractive to people to use?

A; Our campground is absolutely beautiful during the fall with the colorful trees throughout the park. We also pride ourselves on our clean facilities and friendly staff. While we are right off the interstate, the park overall is a quiet, hidden gem.

We take extreme pride in our campgrounds and are so happy that Terre Haute has been welcoming to us. We look forward to improving Terre Haute’s premier campground, Terre Haute Campground, and would love for you all to come and see the changes!

Q: What makes you (the owners and staff) passionate about your business?

A; We purchased our first campground a little over five years ago in Effingham, IL. We didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into, but we soon fell in love with the campground industry and with our campers. We started looking to expand about a year ago, and we feel in love with Terre Haute KOA. We have an amazing team, who all want to provide the best experience for our campers. We all truly pour our hearts and souls into our campgrounds.
