I hope this finds you well! I am contacting you on behalf of Team of Mercy, Inc., a non-profit organization for the Wabash Valley. Team of Mercy (T.O.M.) offers assistance to those that have lost a loved one to suicide. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death ages 15-35 in Indiana and the 3rd leading cause of death ages 10-14 according to AFSP, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Nationally, 123 people die by Suicide every day. Our organization offers the following services for our community members: bio-hazard scene clean-up, counseling/therapy programs, grief support, suicide awareness programs, support groups, special needs by request and Youth Mental Health First Aide workshops. We as an organization believe that when we open the lines of communication and talk about suicide and mental health we can become a healthier community!
On May 19th, 2018 Team of Mercy, Inc. will be hosting our 5th annual “Surviving the Color” event. This event is a 5K walk/run color event for participants of all ages. The event is located in Terre Haute, IN where the start line is at Brown Ave./Ohio Blvd. “Surviving the Color” is dedicated in memory of all those lost in our community to suicide. We mourn the way our loved ones died, but on this day we will celebrate the lives they lived and bring awareness to our community.
We are contacting you concerning a sponsorship opportunity with our 2018 “Surviving the the Color” annual fundraiser which provides Team of Mercy with the funds we need to continue to operate in the Wabash Valley.
