Tell us about your business!
I am an exclusive agent for Allstate Insurance. Allstate is the largest publicly held personal lines insurer providing insurance products to approximately 16 million households. Allstate was founded in 1931 as part of Sears, Roebuck & Co. The award winning Woods Allstate Agency opened its doors in January of 2017 offering home, auto, life, retirement, boat, atv, motorcycle, and other personal lines as well as business insurance.
What do you like most about your business and work?
I get to help people like never before. Prior to this I was a principal and business teacher in IL and enjoyed preparing students for the real world by teaching them real world concepts. Now I get to work with adults in almost the same fashion. Many don’t understand what insurance is or does for them; only that they have to have it by law. No two families are the same and taking time to educate and help design custom insurance portfolios instead of offering cookie cutter policies for each family to properly protect their assets is a reward in itself.
