Wabash Valley Manufacturing and Distribution Wage and Benefits Survey
Members of Accelerate West Central Indiana Economic Development and Duke Energy are proud to announce their sponsorship of the 2020 Wabash Valley Manufacturing and Distribution Wage and Benefits Survey.
Regional wage and benefits survey data is critical to effectively addressing attraction and expansion leads that come into economic development organizations. Wage and benefits data create a complete picture of the region’s business climate, and helps ensure that the Wabash Valley attracts and retains the best and brightest of the country’s workforce. The only way to obtain this data is through business participation in a comprehensive survey, such as the one being offered now. These efforts are made possible through a $9,500.00 grant from the Duke Energy Foundation.
The target industries of the 2020 Wage and Benefits Survey are manufacturing and distribution. The survey will cover related businesses within Clay, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties in Indiana, and Clark and Edgar counties in Illinois. Economic development professionals in each of these respective counties will be reaching out to businesses in their area to participate in the survey, but companies may
also contact their Lead Economic Development Organization and volunteer to participate. The survey will provide participating companies with valuable insight into the business climate of your company’s location, and an opportunity to think more intentionally about the investments your organization makes in your employees. Every participating company will receive a copy of the completed survey report.
The survey report will also contain valuable supplemental information, such as regional commuting patterns, estimated labor force, ages of those in the regional workforce, educational attainment levels, and positions that are most in demand in the region. The survey will be provided on-line, with the ability for individuals to save work and return as convenient for the completer. Informational Zoom sessions will be offered to company
participants the week of October 26, with the survey rolling out the week of November 9. The survey report will be released the first quarter of 2021.
