How many years have you been in business? I opened my business in May of 2016.
Tell us about your business and what you do.
Regal Touch Permanent Cosmetics was established primarily for breast cancer patients. As a breast cancer survivor, I have seen the need for more 3D areola tattoo reconstruction artists. I learned there are certifications as short as two days to two weeks. Therefore, I chose an apprenticeship program in Florida where I spent a year accumulating in excess of 1200 credit hours of class time and hands on training in an advanced program. I also offer the ever popular permanent eyeliner, eyebrows and lip color. I am happy to announce that I am joining the Breast Center at Hendricks Regional Hospital to provide all of their patients 3D areola tattoo reconstruction at the hospital. I will still maintain my office in Brazil for all offered services as well.
Do you have any advice for someone starting their own business?
As far as starting your own business, I was nervous to take that step but have found it to be very rewarding. Hard work and persistence have definitely paid off. I find owning my own business allows me to maintain flexible hours to accommodate my client’s as well as family obligations.
