First Farmers Financial Expands in Terre Haute, Ribbon Cutting Scheduled for Thursday Oct. 25

Terre Haute, IN – A familiar bank in the Terre Haute community is expanding with a new branch.

First Farmers Financial Corp. (OTCQX: FFMR) will open a second branch location in Terre Haute at 2359 St. Rd 46/ US 40. The building currently houses Vigo County Federal Credit Union. The location will be the second operational branch in the area.

“First Farmers has become a great partner to the Terre Haute Chamber and the community,” says Chamber President David Haynes. “They’re really operating not just as a financial institution, but as a community partner; free shred days, educating on financial responsibility and supporting new members of the Chamber by coming to ribbon cuttings and other events. We’re impressed with this second location and look forward to more in the future.”

A celebration at the new location will be hosted by the Chamber and attended by members of the community, including Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett on Thursday, October 25 at 3:30pm.

“We’ve found that our style of service is very welcomed in Terre Haute,” explains Tade Powell, Vice President and Director of Communications & Public Relations at First Farmers Bank & Trust. “We’ve shown consistent growth in the city and the surrounding market areas. We’re proud to be expanding and serving the community well.”

After the ribbon cutting, First Farmers will host a fall festival from 4 to 7pm with activities including:

  • Costume Contest for the kids
  • Games
  • Face painting
  • Coloring contest
  • Kona Ice sno cones
  • Hot dogs
  • Popcorn
