Invitation to Assist ISU Students with Networking & Dining Etiquette

Invitation to Assist ISU Students with Networking & Dining Etiquette

The Career Center would like to invite our employers and alumni to participate as Networking Facilitators for one of our Networking and Dining Etiquette events this spring semester. This event allows students to learn the basics of introducing themselves to new contacts as well as dining tips and professional behavior during a business or interview meal. Being a Networking Facilitator simply means networking with students as they check-in to the event and helping to facilitate conversation at the dinner table. We also encourage you to share your professional networking and employment stories and tips with them throughout the night.

The three events will be held in Hulman Memorial Student Union (HMSU) and are scheduled for:

Tuesday, February 13th, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Monday, March 5th, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday, March 27th, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

From 5:00-5:30 each evening, Networking Facilitators will mingle with students as they check in. From 5:30 – 7:00, you will be seated at a table with students as an instructor guides the participants through a 4 course meal.

If you are interested in participating in one of the Networking and Dining Etiquette events, please email your name, job title, company name, and phone number to Dr. Darby Scism, Career Center Assistant Director,darby.scism@indstate.edu.

Thank you in advance for giving our students this opportunity to continue their professional development!
