Guest Blog: Northside Community Church November Happenings for National Adoption Month

The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome guest blogger, Northside Community Church Pastor Dr. Rev. Clark Cowden.

November is National Adoption Month.  Because of that, this coming Sunday, November 3rd, we are having state senator Jon Ford as our special guest in our 9:00 am worship service at the Northside Community Methodist Church.  Jon was adopted as a young child, and has done a lot of work at the state level with laws relating to foster and adoptive children.  So, he will be speaking briefly about that during our worship service.

The following Sunday, November 10th, is ISU Sunday.  We have had about 40 ISU students from a communications class at ISU helping out at the church this fall.  They have worked hours in our clothing closet, helped with our clothing give-away day, helped with our Fish Fry, and helped last night with our Trunk or Treat.  We are going to recognize them and give them certificates for their community service.

Kristi Cundiff, the head of the Indiana Foster And Adoptive Parents (IFAAP) group will also be present both Sundays.

The Northside Community Church is located at 1075 N. Fruitridge Ave., across the street from North High School.

Take care,

Clark Cowden
