Juneteenth at the History Center

The Vigo County History Center is pleased to honor and celebrate Juneteenth 2023 on Monday, June 19. Falling on a day the History Center would typically be closed, staffers not only plan to open the facility, but will mark the day with performers, local historians and more.
Featuring the Freetown Village Singers from Indianapolis and a brief presentation by local Historian Dr. Crystal Reynolds, the History Center will be open from 1pm to 4pm with the main program starting at 2pm.

The event will also highlight and honor historic black men and women from Vigo County history. Family friendly activities and giveaways will also be available, thanks to our partnership with Dr. Reynolds.
This event is open to the public and History Center members. It is also FREE!
