Chamber Wraps Indiana Chamber Executives Association Conference With Award Wins

Indianapolis, IN – The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce finished this week’s Indiana Chamber Executives Association Conference (ICEA) as the winner of two statewide awards and a finalist for Chamber of the Year.

On Friday, June 29, Terre Haute Chamber staff was honored with the award, “Passing the Torch”. The award recognizes an organization’s work with and support of young professionals. Terre Haute Young Leaders was recognized, which is a branch of the Terre Haute Chamber.

The award for “Best Website” was also awarded to the Terre Haute Chamber. A newly created Chamber web site was launched in late spring. The organization highlighted increased member access, news and blogging and additional information points available on the site. Another exciting point was the site was overseen and designed by Chamber member RED66 Marketing.

“The team at the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce does a great job, there’s no doubt about it, so these two awards are well deserved,” says Chamber Board of Directors Chair Keith Carter. “I know how hard they worked on the new web site and how valuable RED66 was in the process. Terre Haute Young Leaders has always been a great asset to the community and will continue to grow the next generation of leaders. Congratulations to all involved, it’s a great achievement.”

The annual conference, which brings Chamber executives from all over the state together for learning and networking opportunities, presents a small handful of awards at the conclusion of the three-day event.

Marquee awards include Chamber of the Year and Executive of the Year. The Terre Haute Chamber was one of five finalists for Chamber of the Year. The final prize was given to the Ft. Wayne Chamber of Commerce.

Indiana Chamber Executives Association Conference (ICEA)focuses on the professional development of local chambers of commerce serving al communities in Indiana. Founded in 1915, ICEA has grown to represent more than 240 local chamber professionals.
