Chamber of Commerce Announces 106th Annual Meeting Location and Date

TERRE HAUTE, IN – The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce has announced plans for the 106th Annual Meeting. With the theme “Take Flight” and numerous changes on the horizon, Chamber members and the business community will gather for a unique event at the Terre Haute Regional Airport on Thursday, August 22.

Coming off a highly successful event in 2018 at the 181st Intelligence Wing, the Chamber’s Annual Meeting Committee again opted for a non-traditional event venue. With the former Annual Meeting venue, the Hulman Center, under construction, the event will incorporate unique aspects along with mainstays including dinner, live music, a silent auction and more.

“It might be cliché, but the sky is really the limit for West Central Indiana right now,” says Terre Haute Chamber Vice President Kristin Craig. “We have a tremendous amount of positive momentum and are excited to be hosting our event at a venue that not only exemplifies the opportunities, but truly is one of our greatest regional assets. The Annual Meeting is a time that we recognize and celebrate accomplishments, all while taking a look ahead at what’s to come. Overlooking the runway at the Terre Haute Regional Airport will be an excellent perspective for our members to see these opportunities with their own eyes.”

Craig says choosing the Terre Haute Regional Airport as the event’s venue was met with great support from airport leadership including Director of Operations Kara McIntosh and Executive Director Jeff Hauser. Hauser also serves as a member of the Chamber Board of Directors.

“Aviation is such a large component of the success of business and our overall community, we are honored to be able to showcase this during such a large and prestigious event,” he said. “The Chamber did a great job at highlighting the impact of the 181st last year and we look forward to educating the community this August on the impact of the Terre Haute Regional Airport.”

The Chamber will continue the tradition of award presentations. Award sponsors and criteria will be announced in the coming week.
