Chamber Announces Plans for Mayoral Forum

Terre Haute, Ind. – The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a forum this fall with the four candidates for the office of Mayor of Terre Haute. The event will be on Wednesday, October 2 at the Indiana Theater. Doors will open at 6pm with the forum to begin at 6:30pm.

The Chamber is partnering with Terre Haute Young Leaders on this event. The Chamber is also pleased to announce the event will be broadcast live by WTHI-TV. The event will be free and open to the public with sponsorship opportunities for Chamber member businesses.

Each of the four candidates have confirmed participation in the forum.

Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett (R) will run for re-election and a possible fourth term. Terre Haute City Councilman Karrum Nasser (D) will serve as a Democrat candidate. Two Independents have also announced their intention to run, former City Engineer Pat Goodwin and Terre Haute resident Shane Meehan.

The public and media are welcome and encouraged to attend.
