Chamber Accepting Nominations for 2021 Annual Awards

Terre Haute, Ind. – As the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce – and the local business community – begin “Moving Forward”, the Chamber will again celebrate business, community and leadership within West Central Indiana.

Nominations for the 2021 Annual Awards are now being accepted.

“After the last year, all business deserves to be celebrated,” says Chamber President Kristin Craig. “Our community has worked so hard to continue moving forward. This Annual Meeting will celebrate the achievements of West Central Indiana business as a whole and shine the spotlight on three deserving recipients.”

In 2019 the chamber announced new titles and criteria for the annual awards.

The Building Business Award, sponsored by Vectren – A CenterPoint Energy Company, is designed to recognize an outstanding business that has brought significant economic growth to the region.  The award recognizes the entrepreneurial spirit of those who take risks and make investments in time and money to grow businesses and jobs.

The Building Community Award, sponsored by Indiana State University, recognizes an organization or individual(s) for making significant progress toward enhancing quality of life issues in the West Central region.

Leadership Connect of West Central Indiana also recognizes an up-and-coming individual with the Emerging Leader Award. The award celebrates and supports emerging and exemplary leadership qualities found in young professionals in the West Central region. The award is sponsored by RJL Solutions and the Wabash Valley Leadership Institute.

Members of the community are encouraged to submit nominations for the three awards. Deadline for nominations: Friday, July 9, 2021.
