September Relentless Campaign Recipient Valaurie Nesbit

The Relentless Campaign aims to celebrate those making waves in the Terre Haute Community by honoring individuals who truly give the word it’s meaning. This month, we are excited to announce our seventh honoree of The Relentless Campaign, who is an individual who truly gives 121%.
Our seventh honoree of The Relentless Campaign is someone who has dedicated herself to ensure the safety of her residents. Valaurie Nesbit was nominated for The Relentless Campaign for her extraordinary management of The Wyndmoor Senior Living Facility as the Administrator of the facility. COVID-19 has had an unprecedented effect on our community, especially among at-risk communities. In the face of the pandemic, Valaurie has insured the safety of her residents using leadership practices and safety protocols. Valaurie has gone above and beyond to provide love and care to the residents within her facility, and it shows.
Valaurie is a Licensed Residential Care Administrator and has 30 years of experience in healthcare. Valaurie graduated from Kiamichi School of Nursing and has a background in Medical Reimbursement Technology. Additionally, Valaurie has a plethora of experience in the medical field, such as special training in IV certification, critical care nursing, CPR and First Aid, nurse management, wound care, and cardiac nursing. Over the years, Valaurie has served in many roles in healthcare including working as a CNA, EKG Tech, LPN, Wound Nurse, CPR/First Aid Instructor, and as an Assistant Director of Nursing.
Before 2001, Valaurie resided in Fort Smith Arkansas, and Eastern Oklahoma. After 2001, Valaurie relocated to the Wabash Valley. Since living here, Valaurie has made waves in our community as a healthcare professional. Valaurie began working with her current company, The Wyndmoor Senior Living Facility, in May of 2011. Her previous role with the company was as the Director of Nursing, but she quickly moved into the role of Administrator. During her time as the
Administrator of this facility, Valaurie has made it her top priority to provide her residents with love and care along with building positive staff relationships.
Valaurie’s response to COVID-19 as the Administrator of The Wyndmoor Senior Living Facility has been no exception to her dedication. At the time of her nomination, The Wyndmoor Senior Living Facility has had no resident COVID-19 cases. Valaurie has made the safety of her residents a top priority. Valaurie’s
management ability has provided a safe and positive environment for residents and the staff of The Wyndmoor Senior Living Facility.
Valaurie Nesbit also dedicates time to her family and community outside of her professional role. Valaurie is a member of the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Valaurie has three grown children. Valaurie also has two grandchildren, with her third grandchild on the way. Overall, Valaurie is a loving healthcare professional, community member, and family member.
