Brandon Halleck Named Downtown Terre Haute Advisory Board President

Terre Haute, IN – A familiar face to Downtown Terre Haute and the business community will lead Downtown Terre Haute’s Advisory Board.

Longtime Terre Haute resident Brandon Halleck was appointed to the position this month. Halleck is no stranger to Downtown Terre Haute, as the co-owner of The Dance Studio, along with his wife Mallory. Halleck also has extensive background in non-profit work as the Chief Operating Officer at Chances And Services for Youth. Halleck has worked for the organization for nearly 20 years, working his way up to his current position since coming on in high school.

Combining his two careers, Halleck created the highly successful fundraiser Dancing with the Terre Haute Stars. Each year Dancing with the Terre Haute Stars has generated more than $185,000 and overall the event has brought in over $1 million.

“It is no secret that I embrace this community so much,” Halleck says. “I couldn’t be prouder to be part of a community that gives back and supports one another. As someone that works in both non-profit and as a downtown business owner myself, I think I bring a helpful perspective to the position. I’m excited to get started; I want to continue to see Downtown Terre Haute succeed.”

Downtown Terre Haute was brought under the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce umbrella in March of 2017. Since then, the downtown group has focused on both short-term and long-term priorities in the area.

Brandon will serve as the President of Advisory Board which will be working on creating a strategic plan to ensure the efforts of the group are in line with the needs of both downtown businesses and the entire community.
