Hi 99 WTHI Radio and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Raise $83,325 During Two-Day Radiothon

On February 16 and 17 , HI-99 WTHI Radio hosted the 32nd Annual Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. During the two-day live Radiothon supporting St. Jude’s unrelenting fight to find cures and save children from childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases, HI-99 Radio collected a total of $83,325 for the kids of St. Jude.

HI-99 has been a proud supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for over three decades raising more than $1.8 million in the fight to end childhood cancer. HI-99 also has the incredible distinction of being the longest running St. Jude Radiothon in the state of Indiana!

Established in 1962 by Danny Thomas, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has pushed the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to 80% and freely shares medical breakthroughs with 24 different partner sites in 17 countries.

HI-99 thanks the incredible generosity of the Wabash Valley community for coming through for the kids at St. Jude once again, especially after a couple of tumultuous years fraught with unprecedented challenges. Through community support like this, St. Jude patients are given the most precious of gifts – hope.

“I am grateful to be a part of the St. Jude Radiothon every year. St. Jude works tirelessly to end Childhood Cancer and we will continue to work tirelessly to raise money for their research. THANK YOU for supporting St. Jude.,” said Party Marty, Morning Show Host on HI-99.

Baley Halberstadt, Promotions Director and Midday Host on HI-99 added, “Each year, we are blown away by the generosity of the Wabash Valley when it comes to the kids at St. Jude. To see our listeners dig deep into their hearts and piggy banks time and time again is something that will never be lost on me. ‘Thank you’ doesn’t begin to express our gratitude.”

Funds raised during the 2022 St. Jude Radiothon will cover the costs of continuous, aggressive childhood cancer research in the fight to eradicate these life threatening diseases for good. Donations will also fund the cost of travel, treatment, housing, and food for patients and families at St. Jude who never receive a bill – simply because the only thing a family should worry about is helping their child live.
