Business: Overhead Door Company of Terre Haute
Tell us about your business/organization.
Overhead Door Company of Terre Haute was established as part of the W.J. Giffel Company in 1929 and has been serving the Wabash Valley since. Today, Overhead Door Company of Terre Haute sells and services residential, commercial and industrial overhead sectional and rolling steel doors and operators, along with complete loading dock systems. We provide service for all Overhead Door products and most competitive makes and models. Whether your needs are a single garage door for your home or hundreds of doors for your business, we’ll get you in and out.
We are and have always been a locally owned and operated company. I purchased the company in July of 1996 and was joined by my son, Brian, in 1998. In July next year I will retire and Brian will take over the company.
Why do you serve as an Ambassador?
Being an Ambassador means a lot to me. I believe in giving back to my community, but it is also important because it gives one an opportunity to network with the many business and individuals from our community. Volunteering one’s time leaves me with a sense of accomplishment. Working with staff of the Terre Haute Chamber has been an uplifting experience with the knowledge and experience displayed by the staff. Thank you the opportunity to be part of the Ambassadors.
