Clinton Veteran-Owned Business To Celebrate New Ownership

A popular business in Vermillion County is celebrating a new name and new ownership. Along with the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce and locals in Clinton, Ind., McGlynn’s Macelleria, will officially cut the ribbon on the new endeavor Saturday, May 14 at 10am. McGlynn’s Macelleria, the former Spendal’s Macelleria, is located at 121 N 9th Street in Clinton.

The business, a longstanding staple in the Clinton community, is now owned by Roscoe and Tracy McGlynn, who just closed on the business this week. Roscoe is a Clinton resident and a Navy Seabee veteran; who spent most of his adult life serving in the military. The business is registered as a veteran-owned business, one of the few in this area. With his connection to the military Roscoe will give any veteran a 10% discount.

Roscoe tells the Chamber since a young age he wanted to own his own business, something he thought about often while working for this father in his custom cabinet shop in Clinton.IMG_0986.JPG

McGlynn’s will partner with the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting celebration on Saturday, May 14 at 10am. The business has also been working with the Indiana Small Business Development Center at Indiana State University to help establish the veteran-owned business designation.
