Indiana Celebrates Chamber of Commerce Week

The Indiana Chamber Executives Association and the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce are excited to announce the week of May 4-8, 2015 as Chamber of Commerce Week in Indiana.

Around the state the annual celebration is a chance for organizations and businesses to celebrate chambers of commerce and their contributions to Indiana’s economic climate.

With that in mind, the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce is joining with local organizations to honor the business community and the contributions of the local Chamber. Businesses are asked to voice their thoughts via social media on how the Chamber has supported and encouraged local business.

“The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce is an organization which can and does provide advocacy for important issues of local and state concern,” said Chamber of Commerce Board President Curt Wilkinson. “The Chamber additionally provides programs to educate and assist businesses in multiple areas for their development and for the improvement of the community.”

Local small business owner and Chamber board member Jeanette Winchester explains support from the Chamber comes in all different forms, on a large and small scale.

“Our Chamber supports businesses of any size and they provide for the continuation of business,” Winchester said. “We are there to preserve and protect business right here in our community and that is what we stand for.”

Chamber of Commerce staff and members are available to media throughout the week to discuss the impact the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce has had on the local economy.
