THYL Meeting – Work/Life Balance

Hear how Dana personally learned to manage her ‘workalohism’ and how achieving work/life balance has been one of her biggest life achievements. She will also share the importance of creating and maintaining boundaries
Dana shared, “My personal mission is to model, promote and influence the fulfillment of individual potential for all of those I can reach”
Dana Simons currently serves as the executive director of the Next Step Foundation, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit community agency she co-founded in 2011 to provide housing and programs for adults suffering from addiction. Dana spent over 20 years in the computer software industry and was the CEO of Captura Software, where she was responsible for raising 38 million dollars in venture capital before joining the non-profit world. Dana is a graduate of Indiana State University and holds a Master’s in Social Work. She is the co-Principal Investigator of a mentoring grant for young mothers issued through the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. She was awarded the Social Worker of the Year award for the Indiana Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers for 2017.
