Community Development

Support and develop initiatives to promote Terre Haute and Vigo County as an excellent place to live, work and do business.

Wabash River Development and Beautification: By initiating plans to revitalize Terre Haute’s riverfront, the Chamber spearheaded a partnership with Wabash River Development and Beautification, Inc. and Vigo County Area Planning, to develop a comprehensive plan for Terre Haute’s riverfront.

Connecting with the Military: Through the inception of Chamber-hosted BizMil receptions, we are providing ways for the business and military communities to connect. The Chamber has also hosted government procurement opportunities to provide our members with all the information necessary to work with the government.

Aiding the Community: When natural disasters strike the Wabash Valley, the Chamber has stepped in to serve as an advocate for business. We work to keep businesses safe and secure by assisting with a variety of important tasks, including: relocating equipment and finished products, connecting businesses with the right individuals to help their specific situation and providing monetary donations to the local victims aid organizations.
