Theater 7 was introduced to the Wabash Valley during the summer of 2016. The company is united by their focus on delivering an uplifting theater experience that showcases diversity, simplicity of set and costumes, utilizes a professional core company, includes a service component, and introduces new works to the community.
The First Light Series is the vehicle through which Theater 7 produces those new works. Maverick Schmit, director of the Series, considers original work by playwrights with connections to the Wabash Valley, and works with the author and members of the Theater 7 company to ‘bring them to light.’ Some productions will be a staged one-act play, while others include a full-length reading.
In this production, Charles Dickens (Adams) is on a reading tour. While visiting the Terre Haute Brewery, Dickens decides to mix it up a bit while performing his classic 1843 story A Christmas Carol. In so doing, he takes on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge himself as well as Jacob Marley, Old Fezziwig, Tiny Tim , the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, and more.

Tickets will be available at the Terre Haute Brewing Company starting at 5:00 pm. on November 16th. Admission is $7, $4 with a valid student ID, and children under 12 are invited to attend at no cost. The show will begin at six with some discussion following.
