Guest Blog: Clark Cowden, Community Brainstorming

The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome Rev. Clark Cowden as our guest blogger. Rev. Clark has been hosting a number of Community Brainstorming Sessions. The next is planned for September 21, 2017.
Friends and Colleagues,

Last year we tried an experiment.  We hosted two Community Brainstorming Sessions here at the Emmanuel Methodist Church as a way to try to bring people together across the West Vigo Community to talk about ways we can work together to strengthen the fabric of our community.  We had about 30 people attend in October and we had about 40 people attend in March. Our desire is to do two things:

1)Provide a forum where people can hear from different groups/individuals about progress that is being made in our community
2)Invite people into a conversation, to share ideas, and to think outside the box, about ways we can join hands and work together to make our community an even better place to live.

Our next Community Brainstorming Session will be held on Thursday, September 21, from 6:30 – 8:00 pm, in the Community Life Center behind the Emmanuel Methodist Church at 6076 US Highway 150, between St. Mary’s and New Goshen.
We are inviting you to join us for this conversation.  Please put this on your calendar and plan to attend.  If you know of others who might like to attend, please feel free to forward this email to them or share in some other way.  If you have any questions, or issues you would like to talk about, please let me know.

I hope to see you 4 weeks from today.
