YMCA Provides Safe, Educational Spring Break Care for Community March 27-31

The YMCAs of the Wabash Valley offer Spring Break Camp for the Terre Haute and Brazil communities next week. This camp is available to children ages 4 – 15 to assist parents in need of child care during the week off of school for Spring Break.

“This year, Spring Break Camp will be filled with wonderful opportunities for children in our communities,” commented Jessica Wireman, Youth Program Coordinator at Vigo County YMCA.

“This camp is a great way for kids to meet friends and experience something new. Our field trip to the Tulip Company on the last day of camp facilitates education about green living and career education!”

The YMCA Spring Break Camp provides an opportunity for campers to have fun and learn in a supervised environment. Camperss will have a chance to participate in a variety of activities including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) experiments, group games, swimming, exercise classes and more. Children will need to pack a lunch, but breakfast and a healthy snack are provided.

Camp takes place March 27-31 from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. Campers have the option to choose a full time camp schedule, including all 5 days, or a part time schedule including 1-2 days. Member rates for camp include $90 for full time, and $54 for part time. Non member rates include $105 for full time and $62 for part time. The drop off and pick up hours for campers are also flexible dependent on age and schedules. There are discounts available for families with more than one child and scholarships are available to those who qualify.
