In our life, we all have a series of “moments” that are etched in our minds as milestones of our journey. For many, these moments surround accomplishments such as graduation, marriage, children, retirement, and so many more. Upon reflection, these moments make you feel proud, accomplished, happy, and are a constant reminder of where you have been and where you are going.

I am blessed to have had the opportunity to add a very special “moment” to my memory as a winner of the 1st annual 12 Under 40 Awards. I was humbled to be nominated by several of my peers with whom I hold in high regard, astonished that I was selected by a committee made up of professionals that I aspire to be, and honored to be recognized as a leader, innovator, and respected member of our great community. Every second of this journey has made a lasting memory that I will carry with me as I continue my professional career in our great city of Terre Haute.

Recognition is something many of us young, up and coming business professionals rarely receive. We are the behind the scenes, smile in the background, get things done without worrying about our “name” being attached sort of people. The opportunity to be recognized for our work, passion, and our promising futures by The Chamber of Commerce, The Tribune Star, our peers, and the community is a welcome addition to Terre Haute via the 12 Under 40 Awards.
